As Valentine's Day is getting closer and closer I'm getting increasingly excited.  I love the day.  I don't think it matters whether you are in a relationship or not to enjoy the day.

I went to a girls' school so you can imagine the excitement that was in the atmosphere on this day.
All the boy schools would send roses and teddy bears to the extent that our corridors were red and and white.  It was so much fun seeing the gifts in the masses and being distributed to the girls who sat at their desks with huge smiles on their faces or the ones struggling to carry both their bags and an oversized teddy too.

Last year I spent the evening with a group of my friends and one friend cooked a five course meal for all of us.  It was a ladies night and we couldn't have had a better time!  We like to give little chocolates, cupcakes or fortune cookies to one another on the day and its a sure way to make everyone smile.

This Valentine's Day I've been told is a surprise.  I've been asked not to ask any questions because usually my boyfriend is unable to dodge them. He makes me laugh!  But my excitement continues to build.

Critics say you should love everyday and not just on one and I couldn't agree more, but to me it's so fun to make a little something or do a little something to make my friends and family smile.  It doesn't take an expensive card or box of chocolates.  Its a way to remind ourselves of how much love should always be floating around.

Here is a little red and white to introduce the Love Holiday.  I'm sure more is to follow.

The final picture is of little critter that was following me around, my cat, Bentley.

Being in an all-girl's school seems like a nightmare but also very intriguing! And loooving your striped purse!!

It was actually so much fun!!! It's not for everyone but there are some stories that only Catholic girl's schools can tell. If I could go back in time, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Thank you!
