Hi ladies

June has descended upon us ladies!  It’s Father’s Day soon and I’d love to know if you have anything special planned.  Do you have any special traditions?  If you have anything special you like to bake for your precious dads, I’ll love for you to share the recipe with me!  Please send me an email with your favourite recipe and I’ll be posting them next week so we can all find an idea to use.

Outfit Round-Up

Time seems to be flying.  I wish I could just bottle it for a second.  April was amazing.  My baby sister celebrated her 18^th birthday and one of my closest friend’s 23rd.  We had family come and visit so I gave them a tour of my favourite parts of the city.  I went away with friends to Blyde River Canyon for the weekend which was wonderful.  I made my favourite kind of discoveries; amazing restaurants.  For all those interested, Katy’s Palace Bar in Kramerville is open this Sunday.  I’m sure I’ll be there because it’s the best kind of vibe (and food, obviously) around. 

May is going to be a little chaotic for me as my Masters’ course progresses. I’m currently working on my human rights dissertation.  I’ve got a couple awards evenings coming up so I’m sure I’ll be posting on how to plan outfits for those kind of occasions.  My sister’s matric dance is in 10 days so stay tuned for that, she’s going to have jaws dropping that’s guaranteed. 

This coming month I’m going to be expanding Arum Lilea a little bit.  I’ve never really discussed how much I love cooking – it’s actually my favourite way to unwind after a busy day.  So to begin the expansion, I’ll be posting tried and tested recipes that I’ve worked through.  I hope you like this idea, do let me know what you think!  I’d also love any suggestions you might have.

Monthly Outfit Round-Up

I can’t believe we’re already in April.  It honestly feels as though it was just Christmas!  I can start to see the seasons changing now, it’s getting a little bit cooler but we’re still lucky to be having amazing weather.  I know all you Northern Hemisphere ladies are ultra excited for spring and I can’t wait to see what trends follow. 

April promises a special birthday – my little sister turns 18!  I have family coming to visit so we’ll be running around having a bunch of fun.  For the rest of the month I’ll probably be eating my way through a pile of Easter eggs.

Can you believe it's March already?  Here's a round up of Arum Lilea's February.  There were fewer posts due to a minor set-back but onwards and upwards!  March brings my LLB graduation ceremony and a bunch of birthdays!

Monthly Round-up

I don't know where January went!  It was such a great month and I've been lapping up all this summer time fun.  February always has lots in store.  It's Valentine's Day which is always so much fun.  I love seeing all the cards, mugs, teddies and chocolates in the stores.  It's Grant's birthday and I probably get more excited about his birthday than my own.  February also brings some changes into my life this year as I will be starting my masters degree at university.  I'm going to be doing an LLM in Public International Law, a field of law I have always been fascinated by.  So exciting!
