Let's talk about Hair {Aussie hair review}

I've mentioned before that because my hair is so long, I  really have to take good care of it.  There's nothing worse than seeing that girl in the shops with long, tatty and ratty hair and to be honest I live in fear of being that girl.  To be sure that I don't end up looking like that, I really appreciate good quality hair products.  I've been a big fan of Aussie 3 Minute Miracle for some time now.  Every time I go into Clicks I can't seem to leave without making sure I have some in my basket.  It's rich texture has my hair feeling like silk time and time again.

I've only recently started using the shampoo and conditioner along with it too and it's a winning combo.  For starters, if you have this fabulous trio sitting in you room, your whole room is filled with this intoxicating, sweet aroma that lifts my mood immediately.  The shampoo is probably the most fragrant of all three and the moment you open the cap to use it, you will feel love-drunk with it.  The conditioner is great for in between 3 Minute Miracle treatments and is also the one to use if you're planning to curl your hair immediately.  I find that my hair is far too soft to curl it straight after I've used the Miracle treatment.

Pro's: amazingly soft and healthy hair that smells sweet and heavenly.

Con's: the bottles aren't big enough.  I'd be quite happy with a 5 litre bucket of each of these products.

Polka Dots

Zara dress | Accessorize earrings | Dolce & Gabbana sunnies | Forever New clutch and bracelet | Michael Kors watch | Europa Art shoes

Hi everyone

This past weekend I had a girlfriend's birthday.  It was the most fun I've had in ages.  We went to watch a show (Time Warp) at the Barnyard theatre in Rivonia followed by a night on the town.  We sand along to all the songs we knew, we danced and we had a gr.eat time celebrating.  I wore this dress which is probably my favourite dress in my cupboard.  I love the high neckline and the fun polka dots.  I really wish I could have this exact dress in a knee length version so that I could wear it for work.  If you've seen anything remotely similar around, please let me know!

A night with Elizabeth Arden

Last Thursday I had the incredible opportunity of joining the Elizabeth Arden team at their announcement of the new brand ambassador for Africa, Adeola Ariyo.  When I arrived at the venue I couldn't believe how beautifully it had been decorated.  It felt as though I had stepped into a fairytale.  The night was spent sipping on champagne and enjoying a delicious dinner with all the beauties behind the brand in celebration of Adeola's new position.  What a magical moment in time.

Casual glam

Hi everyone

Sometimes all I want to do is slip into some comfy clothes that don't require too much thought or effort.  This outfit is a prime example of just that.  A casual tee and basic skinnies are my go-to for a day running errands.  To glam it up a little I use a bold lip colour, throw on some great earrings and strappy sandals.  Good to go!

Valentine's Outfit Inspiration

Hi Everyone!

Happy Monday!  I hope you're having a great start to the week.

If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know that I'm a soppy romantic and a firm believer in all things associated with Valentine's Day.  I already started getting excited and preparing for the day last week.  I love doing little crafts, baking my annual "love cake" and buying little chocolates for the day to spread the love with my friends, family and my love.

I love dress in red and white on Valentine's Day but I'm such a fan of themes that I see it as a day to play dress up.  It's probably something I've inherited from my Dad.  He only has one red shirt and it is his Valentine's shirt.  He only wears it on this day but without fail, every February 14h you will see him in it.

Here are two looks for cupid's day that you might like.  This year I have a red dress for the day that I haven't worn yet so I'll be sharing that with you next week.

How do you plan sharing the love this Valentine's Day?  I'd love to know!

Elizabeth Arden skin care

I really believe it is so important to take care of your skin.  Not only must you eat right, drink lots of water and wear sunscreen, you should also pay attention to the products you use on your face.

Lately I've been trying out Elizabeth Arden's Visible Difference range of skin care products and I couldn't be happier with them.  I've been using these products since December so I thought it was time I shared my thoughts on the products with you too.

1.  Skin Balancing Exfoliating Cleanser
This is a very gentle exfoliating cleanser so it is perfect for everyday use.  It smells so amazing that I always look forward to using it.  It leaves your skin feeling soft and fresh without that tight feeling that far too many products give your skin.

2.  Skin Balancing Toner
This is also a light product that makes my skin feel so fresh and healthy.  It always amazes me that this toner can still clean more from your skin even though you have exfoliated already.

3.  Skin Balancing Lotion
I don't like any lotions that are heavy on your skin during the day because I like my make up to set in  place to last the whole day.  This lotion is perfect for just that because it quickly absorbs into my skin to make it feel soft and moisturised without leaving residue oil on my skin which is perfect for the day.

4.  Skin Balancing Night Cream
This night cream is probably my favourite of the whole range.  It is also lighter than most night creams but I can feel how my skin loves this product once I've washed off the make up of the day and applied toner.  It laps it up!  In the mornings I can see that my skin looks fresh and well moisturised. It's soft and full and I barely need to apply any make up at all.

My verdict?  This range really does take care of your skin.  I've been so impressed by this range that I am going to continue using it.  It really is the perfect combination of skin care for combination skin.  Have you tried any products in the range?  I'd love to know what your thoughts are.
