This weekend I went for breakfast with two of my very special friends.  I'm generally that annoying girl who is always cold, no matter what.  I feel a draft so easily so I decided to layer up.  Under this sweater I had another two layers and even though we were going to be inside, I still threw on this scarf.  The layers worked though because I managed to avoid the cold.  Paired with my olive pants and favourite Legit boots, I was ready for a casual morning with friends.

Hi everyone!  I've had these tights sitting in my cupboard since last year and I've been so excited to wear them but I haven't done so until now.  I finally decided it was time and put them together with this outfit.  The little hearts are just so sweet.  I thought this look was something Blair from Gossip Girl might have worn and I hope I did her fictional character proud.

Hi everyone!  I completely fell in love with all things burgundy for winter last year.  My love for this colour has filtered through to this winter too and I'm so glad to see that there's still so much of it around.  I've only got these jeggings, a lipstick, lipgloss and nail polishes in the colour at the moment.  This winter I'd love to add an oversized scarf, a felt hat and a pair of booties in this colour to my collection.  What do you think of this trend?

I’m so crazy about these blue leggings!  It’s the colour that lead me straight to them.  I was heading out with friends for a night on the town and I thought this combo would be great for a little fun.

Cat Lady

I am a 23 year old cat lady.  There is no denying it.  I currently am a loving mommy to two fur babies and I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to write about them.  T.C. and Hermione bring lots of tender love to my household so you can understand how my love for cats translated into this cat print blouse.  I tend to get teased by my friends for wearing it but I embrace it.  I thought it would be fun to pair this blouse with my favourite leather panelled trousers and red heels.  What do you think?

Turquoise & Sequins

This sequins turquoise blouse has been sitting in my cupboard for years.  It’s something that I bought on a family trip to England when I was still in school.  I don’t wear it often but its one of those pieces in my wardrobe that have nostalgic value and for that reason I’ll probably keep it forever.  It’s great when you find a piece that can take you back in your own history and retrace your steps while taking new ones.  Do you have anything of sentimental value in your wardrobe?

Parisian Chic

I went for lunch at the Canteen with my boyfriend and his family this past Sunday.  We had such a good time and the food was delicious.  One of the things I still haven’t managed to accomplish with blogging is the way I get super self-conscience of whipping out my camera and taking pictures of the place that I’m in.  I always take my camera along but never have the courage to actually take the pictures that I want to share.  I’d love to blog more about the places I go and the things I see, probably more so than the outfit snaps that I have been taking.  Hopefully I can get over being so shy and if I really try hard, I should have some pretty pictures to share with you next week J

Zara Coat

Saturday was my precious dad’s birthday.  It was freezing cold so I pulled out my Zara coat that I bought in Germany in December.  I didn’t think I’d ever wear it in South Africa because it kept me warm in temperatures well below zero and we don’t ever experience that here.  But it was cold, and I didn’t feel like shivering so I piled it on and I’m so glad I did!

I love to have a little pop of colour going in all my outfits, especially in winter.  I was instantly drawn to this bright pink Mr Price blouse which I thought would be great under my faux fur vest (which in case you hadn’t noticed, is suffering a heavy rotation).

This week I’m working furiously on my thesis while my boyfriend is away in Cape Town.  I’m hoping to have it finished by the time he comes back on Friday.  Wish me luck!

This weekend I went to watch the new Superman movie.  I’ve had a thing for Superman since the tender age of 5, right through the teenage years with Smallville and I guess some things just never change.  Superman’s a hottie and he can save me any day.  Anyway this is what I wore on my romantic date with Clark Kent.  Swoon.
